Mac and cheese has always been my most favorite comfort food. I have tried various ways to make it over the years and thought when switching to GF pasta it wouldn't be that much different, but I found out otherwise.

I mainly use Tinkyada Rice pasta. I cook it the energy saving way ( boil for two minutes then shut off heat and cover for 20). But when made the way I used to make my mac and cheese I found that it was coming out a soggy mess. The cheese absorbed into the pasta and was just ...

I found a place online that tells you what to look for and look out to avoid.

And I've been looking around at other recipes to know how to roll them differently and, how to make other types of rolls. I dunno if it is because I was born in Hawaii, or because I watch so much Japanese TV, but I have been wanting to make Onigiri, Nigiri and Nori Maki... I was going to make a Kosher version to German potato salad (using kosher kielbasa sausage).... but I saw this recipe yesterday and then realized... I need hushpuppies and cocktail sauce and tartar sauce to go with it!!

So, in a few minutes I'll scoot on into the kitchen and get this prepped for cooking tonight, and the 'puppies' prepped for frying and freezing... as I just know there'll ...

I have had two pasta machines for years now, picked them both up at different times at yard sales and was always going to 'get a round tuit' but never did. I guess I could never find the semolina flour that is required for a good fresh pasta, so I never tried. But I got tired of paying $4 a bag for GF pasta that just fell apart most times and just didn't have the 'tooth' that real pasta does.

See I grew up in an adopted Italian family. Half Jewish, half Catholic. I watched my grandmother ...

Last week I was baking as usual and was making a recipe like many GF ones, that calls for more egg whites than yolks and had a couple yolks left over. Previously I have put them into a small bowl and covered with water to add them later to an omelet or such and they always get hardened and not really good. So I decided to try to make hollandaise sauce with them. The last time I did it took about 20 minutes at the stove, constantly stirring. If you have ever watched Alton Brown make it, you know ...

My Grandma sent me this one finally early this month. I had been wanting sausage like something mad, and we have no equivelant here in Germany... everything comes in wurst format..

So, here is her recipe. This is one of those 'Cook to taste' types.

I had a package of seasoning in the cabinet and that is how I am getting your Grandaddy's recipe for the sausage.

Hamburger Meat (Ground Beef, Turkey, Chicken) - or get the cuts yourself and grind up the meat
