Has anyone here heard of this? I have been looking into a variety of things the past year or so to do with personality types and other functions that define us and came across this article. Thought it might be of interest to some who are confirmed Coeliacs and maybe help for those suspecting a family member of having it.

Ok, I had to share...

Baby's found his feet, and is still transverse (head to right, feet sometimes to the left, but currently as of the last day or so to the right by his head)... but otherwise fine and dandy!

He's measuring large still, but the doctor is happy and pleased, I have no fluid retention (thank you L-rd!), the placenta looks good (though Dr wishes it were somewhat higher), and baby was playing when he examined and when he did the ultrasound.

This explains why I ...

I know of one Celiac that has this but never suspected I did, I guess I didn't want to have it. I kept thanking G-d I didn't after hearing the terrible things one goes through having it. But now I think something different.

I have occasionally an outbreak on my elbow, usually my left one where it gets all scaly and itchy and dry and cracked while the other is fine. At times it itches like crazy. I haven't had anything on my knees that I remember. But recently, I noticed a rash on my right ...

Of course everyone is getting ready for Passover, it seems we have it a bit easier if our households are totally GF, since we can't have the 5 grains.

But while checking out some sites I came upon this and it might explain some reactions when eating something you think is safe.

There are many companies now that produce frozen vegetables that make a line that includes pasta in the mix. These same production lines could also be producing your peas, or carrots, corn, etc and being contaminated ...

Because many of us before being diagnosed ended up getting some other 'disease' and are on meds for it, I thought I would share this tidbit.

When buying your prescriptions, do it mid month. At the beginning of the month the Pharmacists is extra busy and the mistakes go up to 25% in the first week of each month. To stay safe, renew your meds mid-month and also have them note on your chart that you are celiac and must be told whenever the supplier changes ingredients for your meds or if they ...

Many Celiacs have a form of diabetes or Hypoglycemia ( low blood sugar), which is only exerbated by our small choices of food available, especially when out and away from home. I carry some fruit and nut bars and pretzels with me but sometimes it sneaks up on me real quick and a faster acting product is needed. So I carry a little tube of these glucose tablets.

First I'd like to report on Reli-On Glucose tablets

Comes in a variety of flavors too!

I somehow ingested some gluten on Saturday night. It was after my husband made me a small sandwich before going out. The sandwich was made with GF corn cakes, a hard cooked egg and Hellmans mayo, not used by anyone eating gluten. That was it. About 45 minutes later I started to have some gurgling, and belching. A few hours later I was getting extreme cramps that wouldn't let up. The pain was so bad I could barely drive home.

These lasted for about 4-5 hours with much gurgling, but no trips ...

I highly reccommend reading this article, even though it is just an excerpt, as I know many folks who have issues with Celiac Disease also have issues with Sulfites (Me and my dad). I have a very mild aversion, and my dad's is very severe.

It Lists what items include sulfites in packaging, and where to get Sulfite-free items.

Beware though, if you have severe Sulfite allergies, you may have to do without your favorite dried ...

I never had a problem with this since I was pregnant. But it seems the further I get from starting on the GF diet the more I have it. It doesn't matter what I eat, even low acidic foods will do it. I have rolaids in every room and in my purse. Worse is at night if I have a late night bed snack, I will wake up and the burn is bad!

Anyone else experience this and have an answer why we get it, when we didn't before?

I haven't checked these out completely, but these are very interesting. I'll have to wait to read them in depth until later, as I Am currently collecting all my GF recipes and putting them in text documents and sorting in folders so I can eventually make my own cookbook and add as I find new recipes. (fun, eh?)

In the meantime, American Family Physician wrote a nice in depth analysis of Celiac Disease and common misdiagnoses that I thought will come in handy for us, and our individual celiac ...

Before confirming my diagnosis of CD I was hospitalized with a arrythmia, very elevated BP, and overall mylais. Various tests were done on me, I was told my heart was strong, my other tests looked good, and they could not pinpoint my irregular heart beat. So they but me on a blood thinner and sent me home.

I got worse, and worse till I thought I was dying. No strength, tired continually, as in I would get out of bed after 12-14 hours sleep and only after being up 15 minutes returned to sleep ...

I just thought we could get a little more personal here and help each other. These are our bodies and we know what we go through so we shouldn't be ashamed or too embarrassed.

I will start, by asking how long does it take when you have eaten gluten ( unknowinly or knowingly I guess) for you to react? Also after the initial trip to the bathroom, do you continue to have diaheria many times after? How do you treat it? What about the belching? do you continue to belch hours or the next day after ...

I am pretty sure I didn't eat anything wrong today, and yet my stomach was feeling quesy all day and then I ended up in the bathroom after previously having a normal BM.
