Our brain is the most complex organ of the body. Within the brain and spinal cord there are ten thousand distinct varieties of neurons, trillions of supportive cells, a few more trillion synaptic connections, a hundred known chemical regulating agents, millions of minuscule blood vessels, axons ranging from a few microns to well over a foot and a half in length, and untold mysteries of all these components working together.

Quote:...dairy farmers say demand for unpasteurized milk, or raw milk, is growing. It is spurred by concern about the chemicals, hormones and drugs used in traditional dairy farming, and interest in organic and locally grown foods....

..."Raw milk continues to cause outbreaks year after year," said John Sheehan, who oversees plant and dairy food products for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. "It is a concern for the FDA."

Quote:...Numerous studies have addressed vaccines and autism and found no link, including with a once-common mercury-based preservative.

The newest question surfaced last month, with news that the government had agreed to pay the family of 9-year-old Hannah Poling for injuries linked to vaccines. Her family said Hannah was a healthy 19-month-old when she received five shots, encompassing nine vaccines. She became feverish, her behavior gradually changed, and she was eventually diagnosed ...

Since going GF I have had occasion when I know that I know that I know I have not ingested anything with gluten , yet still have a similar reaction. The culprit, I found was MSG, it was in the GF Kosher chicken brooth I had used.

I am sitting here recovering from something similar today, instead of cleaning and readying my house for Passover.

I knew the coffee I drank was Gf, sugar, ok, cream, ok, eggs, ok, milk, ok, cheese, ok, green onions, ok, bean bread, ok, sliced hot dogs in omelet, ...

My DH has been talking about losing weight again, and found a product that he's interested in taking as a suppliment, but we can't be 100% sure if it's GF or not.. I told him I'm really iffy over it... but he's trying to gather more info in case he can take it.

Apparently the "charges" they use have gluten in it, but when they get to the finished product it's low enough in gluten to be qualified legally here as "gluten free"

Anyway... what it is supposed to do ...

I have been drinking non fat milk for quite awhile, first I started with a kind that doubles the protein and calcium, thinking this was good, with no fat. Then I read where you shouldn't be drinking milk with the fat removed, I don't remember the 'why' now. Then awhile back I heard about the Vitamin D nightmare, that what is added to milk is derived mostly from pigs.

I just came across this article and am seriously thinking of going off all dairy together, I am really a dairy queen though, ...

Eating locally helps us stay connected to Earth

Our global food system allows us to eat just about anything we want,

any time of year. But seasonal eating is "environmental eating,"

asserted David Bruce, an organic farmer and sustainable agriculture

advocate from southwestern Wisconsin. "It’s Zen eating, requiring

mindfulness," he said. When we eat locally produced foods in accordance

with the seasons, ...

I had read an article quite awhile ago, probably when it was new and seemed healthful about canola oil. I had been buying this from an organic source and spending a pretty penny. Using it for baking and sauteeing, stir-frying and even cooking eggs, thinking I was eating healthy. I saved Olive oil for salads, pizza (after baking) and dressing the tomatoes and such. Then I found out the truth.
