We have the pleasure of living in an area of much wildlife and have taken to feeding them all. I just wanted to extend a precaution to those who do the same. In some wild bird seed mixes ( and domestic birds as well , check your feed) there can be gluten containing grains.

For instance we have a mixture bought at a feed store that wasn't marked but upon examination I think I see some oats in there with the corn.

We put up a small pond on our back porch and on Sunday went to purchase some plants for it. The place we went to had many fish, beautiful koi that costs into the hundreds of dollars. I loved them but wouldn't spend that on something I ate let alone would but in a pond, so we ended up getting two comets and at another place found a baby golden koi for $5. We grabbed some food and when I went to feed them my suspitions proved out, the first ingredient is wheat. So please be careful if you have ...

We got a bag of these before and my little girl loves them. They are for small to medium sized dogs, but very nutritious.

They make two different kinds. The Real Chicken , Whitefish and sweet potato I know she would love but it's main ingredient is spelt, and for those who are new to Celiac disease, that is one of the grains we can't have.

The other one is 'Crunch bar with cranberries' and has no gluten products in it. In fact looking over the list it sounds like one of our quick ...

Before I told you of my search for GF food and how I had come across Eagle Pack, in this thread.

Well now we have moved on. This past weekend I almost bought the store out ( they were having a special of over 1/2 off a small bag!). So I got seven bags of this stuff and hoped my girl would like it as much as I thought she would. She must be half cat as she has always loved fish, especially cajun style, salmon and sardines, so this seemed perfect!

I never bought my pet food at a pet supply store before, always either at a wholesale place or at the grocery store.

I never imagined there were so many dog foods out there! and the newest thing , I guess, to me anyway, is the Holistic section. At this store it took up nearly 50% of their space for dog foods, which took up a whole aisle ...

I had sent for a sample of this food, the ingredients sounded great from their ad, and very healthy-wise in preparation ( they don't cook their vitamins, but put in separate pellets for full nutrition). When I got the sample Jazz was very excited, her first sample in the mail! When she tried it, she about inhaled it! I would give her a small amount each night as a treat after pottying before bed. I went to buy some and really read the full ingredients, there is rye in there and barley!

But ...
