Roads End Organics, a new company I've found ( new to me Smile ) has some products that are of interest to us, especially those who have dairy intolerance or want to serve some 'cheese' with a meat meal.

They make what they call, 'chreese' which is not dairy at all, but a cheese substitue and is:

DAIRY-FREE - LACTOSE FREE - VEGAN - KOSHER - ORGANIC - CHOLESTEROL FREE - DELICIOUS!

What more could you want!

It comes in packets that you can pre-mix and refriderate. Great for nachos, grilled cheese, etc.

See more about it here

For us,they have a Cheddar style and Alfredo style. So now if you want to add some meat to your pizza , you can!

at 1 package @.99c you can't go wrong to try this out. , it gets even more inexpensive if you order more.

They even have a GF version of their Mac and Chreese for us!

Go here to take a look , both made with brown rice pasta, a cheddar version and an alfredo version.

PostSubject: REVIEW Roads End Organics -Mac & Chreese Alfredo Style   Wed Jun 18, 2008 2:23 pm

I must say I was pleasantly surprised with this box. I haven't had muct appetite lately and forced myself to eat something last night. I found this in the pantry and decided to give it a try. I also had some Pacific Organic Tomato Soup with it.

I made it according to the box directions. Rinsed it thoroughly and returned it to the pan after adding the milk and sauce mix. It makes quite a thick sauce so I think I added more milk than what was called for. I also took their advise and added a teaspoon of Organic Earth Balance margarine. After putting half into a small bowl I topped it with a handful of fresh picked arugula.

The sauce wasnt' exactly Alfredo, meaning you couldn't detect any parmesaen flavor per se. But it was full of Italian flavor, a mixture of spices that were reminiscent of Italy. It was very creamy and I kept going between the soup and the pasta with the greens. It was very tasty and brought up some appetite for me.

I will look for this again, definatly make it.
