| wow you have a great pantry, especially for only being in a new country for half a year! I noticed you dont' have sweet rice flour, I see that in many recipes but can't find it, do you have a problem finding it too? I see you don't have Xanthun too, do you prefer gar gum? ( don't worry I will erase this later I don't want to interfer with your pantry list.)_ | |

| Yeah, I try to not use too much corn product since my dad and I have the same blood and body type and almost all the same allergies. I figured I would head off a potential corn allergy by not using too much corn (xanthan all the time in recipes as one) when I cook breads, cookies and cakes. Sweet rice flour we see from time to time, but I think the two they have all the time is Glutenous rice flour and white rice flour - I can't find brown rice flour but I found "red rice flour" once... I'm wondering if I would do better with a mill and just getting the correct rice than purchasing the packages.. but I don't know if we can afford that just yet. My next 'biggie' is a Kitchenaid so I can save time in the kitchen with the bread recipes ( ) Considering I cook some kind of bread every day, I know I have to keep a well stocked pantry. I never know what I will crave next - so I have to be rather prepared. | |
