Disclaimer: This is not certified kosher so that is the reason it is not in that section. For those who are strickly Kosher by hecksher this won't be for you.

I did find this in another market with the GF items and took a look at the ingredients. Their other varieties were using cheese so that is probably why they didn't go for certification for only one sauce, too expensive.

Brand name - Mayacamas

Low fat option
Hollandaise Sauce Mix, All Natural

Mix in saucepan 1 1/4 cups milk and sauce mix, stir and bring to boil, over med high heat. Reduce, simmer and add 4 tbsp butter, for low fat use low fat milk and no butter, for making for the chicken you can use non dairy margarine and rice milk.

All Natural Ingredients:

Potato starch
whey
natural lemon flavor
salt
dried egg yolk
organic sugar
paprika
citric acid
spices
guar gum

Now before you say, "Hey, some of those ingredients may contain gluten"

this is also on the package

Mayacamas products are produced under strict procedures to ensure that they remain GLUTEN FREE and are routinely tested for the presence of gluten. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have at 1-800-826-9621

If only all packaging was like this!

So although not certified kosher it may fit somes level of keeping kosher.

Recipe on back for Lemon chicken sounds real good

Prepare 3-4 cups of rice
Make Hollandaise sauce as above
Pour over rice and cooked chicken breasts ( about 40

season and eat!

Bete`avon!Very Happy

I think I'd add some broccoli to that and it would make a great Shabbat meal for two with leftovers for the afternoon meal. Think I'll try that this Shabbat, I'll let you know how it turns out!

BONUS: Looks to be safe to keep and use for Passover

PC typing

I couldn't resist, I had to try this already. I got some split breast ( 3) and put two cups of rice and the correct amount of water into a 9x13" baking pan. I placed the chicken on top and drizzled some olive oil on top and some Old Bay chicken seasoning ( it is GF) on top. Then I sliced up about 6 cloves of garlic on top of this and covered with heavy alum foil.

I baked it for about 40 minutes, then checked the largest piece for temp and it was done. Meanwhile I had made up the sauce, per directions.

I also heated up some green beans I have frozen last season. I served the chicken on the rice with beans on the side and drizzled the sauce over all. It made enough for all three breasts and the beans and rice.

It didn't have as much a lemony flavor as I'd like it to but that is easily remidied by adding a little lemon zest or a new product I've discovered, called truelemon.

This was definatly good and very easy to make. Not exactly like homemade, but close.

I would reccomend this and will definatly buy it again, even without a hecksher.

I can't wait to try it over some fresh spring asparagus!
