So I made that for a cold pasta salad, while making another pasta for Macaroni and cheese for dinner. This time I used a box that I hadnt tried yet. It's kosher by a Canadian house. Called Pastariso, it's brown rice, elbows. I cooked for 8 minutes, then rinsed and cooled. I let them set in the colander for about a half hour, then made a three cheese sauce and mixed them together. I sat it out for another 1/2 hour or so then baked it for 40 minutes.
I figured this would be like most others, mushy, but it wasn't . It held to gether quite well and had a great taste. Even after reheating it was good. I baked it in a loaf pan instead of a cassarole and took slices out of it. I didnt' think it would work in a cassarole since it is only a 10 oz box.
So I think next time I come across this brand I will give it another try.
Oh, this is no GMO too! and the plant it is made in is gluten free!
According to the box, they make many different pastas, and are organic! ( maybe I should have put this in the organic section?
