My DH has been talking about losing weight again, and found a product that he's interested in taking as a suppliment, but we can't be 100% sure if it's GF or not.. I told him I'm really iffy over it... but he's trying to gather more info in case he can take it.
Apparently the "charges" they use have gluten in it, but when they get to the finished product it's low enough in gluten to be qualified legally here as "gluten free"
Anyway... what it is supposed to do is help even out your glycemic index when you eat food, so you're less hungry or whatever. Sounds so iffy to me.
I decided, hey, if I can find out what the glycemic level is on all the various flour we use, and the raw veggies and fruits, sauces etc... I can modify what I serve, and problem is solved.. right?
Except when I seem to do a search, most of what I am gathering lists food brands by glycemic index or already prepped items instead of items in their raw or cooked form.
I feel more confused than when I began!
Anyone here have a list I can look at and put my meals together (and his snacks) better? I figured it was going to be kind of like Weight Watchers, look at the points and don't go over x amt and watch portion size, but I can't be sure with what I've been finding...
