Ginseng- Popularly used to boost energy, increase sex drive, prolong life and imporve appetite.

Do not take if you have heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure or are taking an anticoagulant.

Garlic- Can be taken fresh, in a capsule, powder or pill, said to lower cholesterol and blood pressure and to have antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Do not take if taking aspirin or anticoagulants.

Echinacea - Many take this because they believe it boosts immunity and helps prevent the common cold. Conflicting results have been shown in case studies. One species did well, Echinacea purpurea.

Do not use if allergic to ragweed, or have an autoimmune disorder or are taking drugs that can hurt the liver.

Chamomile - Has some antibacterial, anti fungal and antiviral properties. Helps improve sleep, settles the stomach, soothes a sore throat and helps to reliever congestion. May help some with menstrual cramps, arthritis, and hemorrhoids when used in a bath. May help to calm nerves after a long day.

Do not use if you are taking an anticoagulant, or are allergic to daisies or are pregnant.

St. Johns wort - This may help in mild depression, but interacts poorly with many meds. and can reduce effectivness of oral contraceptives.

If not on other meds, should be ok to try.
